We are situated half a mile from Hope village, which has pubs, cafes, a Spar shop (open until 10 pm), a greengrocer, butcher, farm shop, post office and several other retail outfits. The footpath network starts virtually from the door and there is a lovely walk down a green lane to the village of Hope. Castleton, with the famous caves, is just two miles away. Chatsworth House, the famous plague village of Eyam and the market towns of Bakewell and Buxton are less than half an hour away by car.
