  castleton - farran house ::

 

 

Farran House is a charming double fronted period cottage, situated in the centre of Castleton in the heart of the Peak District National Park. This historic and popular village is a great base from which to explore the many attractions this area has to offer which include the Blue John Mines, Speedwell Cavern, Peveril Castle as well as excellent walking to enjoy. Edale, the start of the Pennine Way, is very close by while the Great Ridge from Mam Tor to Lose Hill offers a spectacular stroll on a summer's evening.

Castleton itself serves its visitors well with excellent facilities within the village. There are good shops, pubs and a variety of eating places all within a very short stroll of the house.

Accommodation

The front door opens into a welcoming lounge with an open fire while to the rear is a stylish, fully-equipped kitchen. Exposed beams and oak flooring with rugs add further appeal to these rooms. Off the lounge is a very pleasant dining room that seats eight and is ideal for family gatherings.

Stairs lead to three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The main bedroom has a feature double bed and a beautiful, contemporary en-suite shower room with WC. There are also two twin-bedded rooms on this floor and contemporary family bathroom with pedestal bath and shower over. Both bathrooms have exposed and polished floorboards. Throughout the property care and attention has been given to provide a coordinated and stylish home from home.

Outside the property there is a private stone flagged sitting out area.
