hope - the coach house ::

Set on a working sheep farm and close to the owners' farmhouse, these charming cottages have been recently converted from redundant farm buildings using traditional materials. Full of character and nestling around a courtyard, each one is furnished and equipped to a very high standard providing a cosy base for exploring this beautiful area.

Situated in the heart of the Peak National Park, the Hope Valley is an excellent centre for visiting may attractions - Castleton with its Blue John caverns, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the plague village of Eyam. For walkers, the famous Pennine Way starts at Edale only four miles away. The market town of Bakewell (famous for its puddings), the spa town of Buxton and the limestone villages of the southern Peak District are within half an hour's drive.

Farfield Farm

The farm is located within woodland and parkland. It is one of the national sites for the British Trust for Ornithology who carry out an annual census of common birds. An average of fifty different species of common birds have been recorded annually.

Shops and pubs in the village of Hope half a mile away. Railway station half a mile away and guests can be met at the station by appointment.

The farm also has a trout stream running through the land and arrangements can be made with the owners to fly fish on this stretch of the River Noe.

The views of the surrounding hills are some of the finest in the area and you can join the footpath network straight from the doorstep.
