Located in the picturesque village of Longnor in the heart of the Peak District National Park and just a stone's throw from the Market Square, Jack's Cottage is a beautiful period cottage offering quality accommodation for two in a heritage setting. Recently restored but retaining all the original character, with original stone flagged floors, exposed beams and a working range fireplace, you can also enjoy all the comforts of full central heating, a modern shower and essential appliances - TV, DVD, microwave and CD radio. Accommodating two comfortably in one double bedroom, there is also the opportunity to accommodate additional guests on the sofabed in the lounge.

A haven for walkers, ramblers and cyclists, Longnor has a choice of pubs, a well stocked village store, Post Office, Craft Centre with Coffee Shop, Fish and Chip Shop and Delicatessen. With Buxton and its Opera House, Georgian Crescent and Royal Stables, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, National Trust properties, parks and gardens, delightful Peak District market towns and villages and the Tissington and High Peak cycle tracks all within easy reach, Jack's Cottage provides an excellent base from which to explore all that the Peak District with its spectacular scenery has to offer.

Accommodation (1 bedroom, sleeps 2)

Living Room and Dining Area has a featuring cast iron range fire, stone flagged floor and exposed wooden beams, the homely living room includes a dining table with seating for two, a sofa (which can be converted into a small double bed for occasional additional guests), TV and DVD player, CD player and radio.

The kitchen opens directly onto the patio and garden, the kitchen has an electric cooker, refrigerator with ice box, microwave, toaster and kettle as well as all necessary crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils.

The bedroom has a 4'6" double bed, original wooden floorboards and decorative original stone fireplace, while the shower room includes a modern shower (please note, there is no bath). All bedding and towels are provided and there is a hairdryer for your use.

Please note that in keeping with the period nature of the cottage, the enclosed staircase is quite narrow and steep!

There is a sunny south facing private garden and patio with garden furniture and a bar-b-que during the summer.
