  tideswell - hulmes vale house ::

 

 

Hulmes Vale House is adjacent to The Holmes Barn which are both family run large holiday cottages and if booked together are capable of accommodating up to 30 people. The House has been completely redeveloped to the highest standard and specification to assure the maximum comfort and luxury for guests throughout their stay.

Location

They are surrounded by approx. 10 acres of their own grounds and are situated just off the A623 near the spa town of Buxton, and conveniently located to enable guests to visit many of Derbyshire’s attractions including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Castleton with its many caves and much, much more.

The nearest villages of Tideswell and Bradwell are approx. 10 mins drive away and offer all facilities and many public houses for dining out opportunities. The market town of Chesterfield and the city of Sheffield are also within an hours drive.

On site the animal residents are - 4 dogs (Smokey, Bandit, Spook and Billy) also family horses Mack and Connor and pony Percy. Livery facilities are also available on site.

Accommodation (4 bedrooms, sleeps 14)

The accommodation is part of a traditional Derbyshire Stone Long House and briefly comprises of porch, entrance hall, lounge, downstairs cloakroom, utility room, large farmhouse kitchen and traditional dining room. Upstairs 4 large bedrooms, one ensuite shower room and main family bathroom.

The accommodation can easily sleep 12/14 guests in this newly developed and completely refurbished house.

In the kitchen a large farmhouse table easily seats 12, the kitchen is fully equipped with crockery and cutlery. There is an oil fuelled Aga, large American style fridge/freezer, microwave oven and dishwasher (there will be a small amount of powder available for the start of your holiday). There is a washing machine and drying area in the utility room.

The separate dining room which has an inglenook log burning stove, a large traditional table seating 12/14 people, beautiful oak beams and antique furniture.

In the lounge is a widescreen TV with surround sound and a DVD/video player (small selection available) and Hi-Fi. A log burning effect electric fire and large range of easy seating finish off the feeling of comfort and luxury including a spring action double bed settee.

Leading from the hallway the stairs climb to the first floor landing. Off this is a family sized bathroom featuring a large separate shower and bath, fully tiled with under floor heating and heated towel rail.

  • Bedroom one has a king size sleigh bed and a bed settee. This room also features an en-suite shower room.
  • Bedroom two has one set of adult bunk beds and a bed settee.
  • Bedroom three has one set of adult bunk beds and one single bed.
  • Bedroom four has 2 single beds and a bed settee which can accommodate two children or another adult.

All the bedrooms have wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets, cots and highchairs are available on request.
