Moore’s Cottage Farm, near the historic market town of Ashbourne, provides a comfortable holiday cottage in peaceful surroundings that are close to all the major Peak District attractions and Alton Towers.

The Cottage is on a small hobby farm with Jacob sheep and poultry and it is ideal for people wanting a rural and safe location with lovely views. There is an outdoor play area in the gardens close to the Cottage with swings and a sandpit. Pets are welcome and there is direct access to the field for walks.

Last Rose Cottage is named after one of the well know songs of Thomas Moore (1779-1852), the Irish lyric poet and a friend of Lord Byron, who published his famous Irish melodies when he lived in the Farmhouse.

Accommodation (3 bedrooms, sleeps 6)

Last Rose Cottage is a converted barn which has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate 6 people with the addition of a small child or baby.

It has fine exposed beams, is well equipped and comfortably furnished in a style matching the character of the building. It has easy walking access as most of the accommodation is on the ground floor with only 2 steps to negotiate.

The comfortable sitting room has an electric coal effect fire, colour TV/Radio, DVD and Video Players and Wi-Fi connection for essential emails.

The kitchen/dining room is spacious, open plan and well equipped with electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer. Washing machine & availability of a tumble dryer.

There is one large double bedroom (with a dressing room and hand basin), one twin room and two bathrooms on the Ground Floor. Upstairs there is one double bedroom.
