Matlock Bath is deep in the Derbyshire Dales and on the edge of the Peak District. Lyndhurst has good access to a wide range of local facilities including pubs, restaurants, shops and attractions, as well as a range of public transport with links to Derby, Chesterfield, Sheffield and Manchester.

The property is set in an ideal location for discovering a host of local attractions including the stately homes of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall; the UK's most popular theme park, Alton Towers; the historically important Derwent Valley Mills where Sir Richard Arkwright started the Industrial Revolution. It also provides access to miles of beautiful countryside that Derbyshire has to offer.

Accommodation (7 bedrooms, sleeps 16)

The house is reached via a flight of stone flagged steps and the huge front door leads into the main, oak floored entrance hall from where the accommodation offers open plan dining and kitchen areas perfect for relaxed dining and socialising. The kitchen is fitted out with antique pine units and includes a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven and gas AGA oven. The huge picture windows throughout the ground floor take in stunning views of the imposing Derbyshire limestone tors.

Also on the ground floor is a TV lounge with welcoming open fire and more fabulous views; a second reception room with LCD TV, DVD player and comfy leather sofas; a Utility room with washer/dryer; a games room with a snooker table; double patio doors lead out to garden and BBQ areas.

An imposing dog-leg, wooden staircase leads to the first floor which has four bedrooms:

  • Bedroom one with a king sized bed plus en-suite shower room.
  • Bedroom two with a king sized bed.
  • Bedroom three with antique pine double bed.
  • Bedroom four with two single beds.

and a bathroom with ball and claw foot antique bath, Victorian style washbasin and toilet.

A second flight of stairs leads up to the second floor which has a further three bedrooms:

  • Bedroom five with a super king sized bed and double sofa bed for occasional use.
  • Bedroom six with a king size bed plus en-suite shower room.
  • Bedroom seven with two single beds, bunk beds and a single sofa bed for occasional use.

and a bathroom with bath, separate shower, toilet and hand basin.

Outside the property has a BBQ and patio area to the rear - ideal for alfresco summer entertaining together with dawned gardens to the side and front.
