This is a brand new conversion of an historic barn into two
luxury holiday cottages, each sleeping up to four people.
They are situated on an equine farm, in open countryside high
on a ridge above Longnor village with breathtaking views over
the Manifold and Dove Valleys.
Both cottages have oil fired central heating, underfloor
downstairs and designer radiators in the bedrooms. Downstairs
there are large lounge/diners with leather sofas, TV/DVD Freeview,
CD players, etc, utility/drying rooms with washer/dryers,
ideal for all that wet walking gear, and kitchens with stunning
granite worktops and the latest equipment, electric cooker,
touch control ceramic hobs, fridge/freezers, microwave/grills
etc. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the master bedrooms
have ensuite fully tiled bathrooms with walk-in showers. There
are also family bathrooms with bath and showers, all bathrooms
have undertile heating for that extra feeling of luxury when
you step out of the shower.Outside there is a stone flagged
and pebbled patio with benches and tables, and ample off road
parking.
The cottages are surrounded by fields and moorland which
are protected as a site of special scientific interest as
a breeding ground for rare wild birds. The cottages Curlew
and Snipe are named after two of our regular summer visitors
but for the Bill Oddie's amongst you there are also Lapwings,
Buzzards, Owls and Skylarks going about their daily business.
There are stables and paddocks available if you want to bring
your horse with you and ride the Pennine bridleway or visit
Beaver Hall Equestrian centre for the regular dressage and
showjumping competitions. Both are a short drive away and
we have plenty of room to park your horsebox or trailer. Well
behaved dogs welcome by arrangement.
Linen, duvets and towels are provided, there is no extra
charge for electricity and there is a welcome pack with tea
coffee, milk and a bottle of wine.
